This book presents the idea of giving in a way that it seems almost essential for success, and that’s the great thing about it! It brings the concept of humanity in a much-needed area … business. Wether in lifestyle, business or in public health I feel that there is a lack of understanding of the concept of inter-dependency or even the realization of its existence.
This book introduces five laws around the idea of interdependency and the old proverb “give and you shall receive” and demonstrates “why?” these laws are essential for success through discussion.
Though this book could be longer with more depth, I think it’s perfectly short with a good portrayal of the message … it was infact perfect enough for me to reflect on current issues that require such an outlook: Public Health.
Just that day I was discussing how COVID would be so much better off if we worked together as nations around the world … let alone even worked together as just a nation (something the US has shown to be incapable of doing). If developed nations donated resources , such as the extra vaccines to developing nations , we could avoid the emergence of strains like Delta or even the extremely high rates of fatality … yes, we should not help others by sacrificing are own needs and resources, but it has been reported that countries like Canada and America who were able to invest in the vaccines earlier on due to their economic advantage has more vaccine supply than they used , therefore COVAX was founded to help developing nations also gain access to the vaccines through compromise of developed nations. Basically, without too much detail, I believe the cure to COVID, and its rapid spread is a unified plan that presents inter-dependency between nations and provides a path to move forward together as a globe.
I highly recommend this short read, which toke about 2 hours for me, for anyone and everyone! its highly worth your time and helps you reflect and insert values into your life to make you not only successful in business – but also in relationships, life etc. – as well as a better person.
